Terms of Service
Terms governing your use of the QKC Health website, and the booking, payment, and cancellation terms for our training.
Effective Date: October 21, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the QKC Health LLC website at qkchealth.com (“the Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.
Services Description
QKC Health LLC is an American Heart Association (AHA) Authorized Training Center providing health education and certification courses including CPR, BLS, ACLS, First Aid, Healthcare Provider training, and workplace safety training. These offerings are detailed on our classes page, and our services are offered primarily in Connecticut, Westchester County NY, and New Jersey.
Booking and Scheduling
Submitting the form on our contact page is a request for training, not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only once we have confirmed the course, date, time, and location with you in writing.
Most courses require a minimum of three participants. ACLS is available to individual participants. If the number of participants on the day falls below the confirmed minimum, we will run the class as scheduled and invoice the confirmed minimum.
For on-site training, you are responsible for providing a suitable space: a room large enough for participants to work on the floor during skills practice, with access to power. Please tell us in advance about any site access restrictions so we can plan around them.
Payment Terms
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, training is invoiced after the class has been delivered, and invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date. Prices are quoted per course and confirmed in writing before the class. The confirmed quote is the price you pay.
Quoted fees cover instruction and AHA course completion cards for participants who meet the AHA performance requirements. Fees for a replacement card requested after the class are charged separately.
Where an invoice remains unpaid after its due date, we may decline to schedule further training until the balance is settled.
Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
We would always rather move a class than lose it. For confirmed bookings:
- Seven or more days before the class — you may cancel or reschedule at no charge.
- Fewer than seven days before the class — instructor time and materials are already committed, and a cancellation or reschedule may be charged at up to the full course fee.
- No-show — where nobody is present at the confirmed time and location, the class is treated as delivered and is invoiced in full.
Individual participants who do not attend a group class do not reduce the confirmed group fee.
If we need to cancel or reschedule — for instructor illness, severe weather, or another cause outside our control — we will offer you the next available date, or cancel the booking at no charge if you prefer. We are not liable for travel, accommodation, staffing, or other costs you incur in connection with a class that we reschedule or cancel.
Participant Requirements and Physical Activity
CPR, BLS, ACLS, and First Aid training are hands-on. Participants kneel on the floor, perform chest compressions on a manikin, and take part in scenario practice. These activities involve physical exertion.
Please make participants aware of this before the class. Anyone who is pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or living with a condition that may be affected by physical exertion should consult a healthcare professional before attending. We ask participants to tell the instructor about any condition relevant to their safe participation, so that we can adapt the session.
This section is a safety notice, not a waiver. Attending means accepting the ordinary risks that come with physical activity of this kind; it does not give up any claim arising from our own negligence, and we do not ask you to give up such a claim. Health details a participant shares with an instructor are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
An instructor may pause or end a participant's involvement in an activity where they judge that continuing would be unsafe for that participant or for anyone else present.
Tell us in advance about any accommodation a participant needs and we will do what we reasonably can to arrange it. You can also discuss accommodations with us by phone at (212) 548-3284.

We do not ask you to waive those claims, and we would not seek to enforce any provision that purported to do so.

Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the site are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Connecticut.
That choice of forum does not take away a right you have where you live. If you are a consumer resident of New York or New Jersey, nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in the courts of your home state where the law of that state gives you that right, and nothing here deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of your home state.
Notice for New Jersey Residents
New Jersey law requires us to say specifically, rather than generally, how these Terms apply in New Jersey. Accordingly, for consumers in New Jersey:
- The Limitation of Liability section above does not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, gross negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct, or for fraud. That is true in every state, and we state it here expressly for New Jersey.
- Nothing in these Terms waives, limits, or disclaims any right or remedy available to you under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act, or the New Jersey Punitive Damages Act.
- No provision of these Terms is intended to state that a right or remedy is unavailable to you in New Jersey when New Jersey law makes it available.
The remaining provisions of these Terms apply to New Jersey consumers as written.
Notice for New York Residents
If you are a consumer resident of New York, nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy available to you under New York General Business Law sections 349 and 350, or under any other New York law that may not be waived by agreement.
Modifications to Terms
QKC Health LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
