Heartsaver First Aid Questions
Heartsaver First Aid focuses on first aid skills like treating bleeding, burns, broken bones, allergic reactions, and medical emergencies. The Heartsaver CPR AED course focuses specifically on CPR and AED skills. QKC Health also offers a combined Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course that covers both.
OSHA does not certify or approve first aid courses. The AHA designs Heartsaver First Aid for workplace first aid responders, and many Connecticut employers require designated responders to hold a current first aid card. Your employer decides which training meets its OSHA obligations.
The AHA Heartsaver First Aid certification is valid for two years, through the end of the Renew By month shown on the card. We recommend scheduling your renewal before your current certification expires to maintain continuous compliance with workplace safety requirements.
